Invasive tunicates and how to report
In the past few years various species of rapidly reproducing tunicates have become problems at various sites around the world. These species foul all sorts of marine structures and habitats, overgrowing and smothering other organisms on the sea-bed, sometimes covering the siphons of infaunal bivalves, and interfering with aquaculture, fishing, and other activities. Learn more here.
Hood Canal Dissolved Oxygen program
Through the Hood Canal Diver Observation Program, you can report what you see and provide specific data on a variety of vertebrate and invertebrate species. Scientists will use these observations to monitor the behavior, movement, abundance and distribution of marine life over time in the canal. Learn more about the project here, or use the Hood Canal Diver Obeservation Form to report your findings.
